Save the Dates!

They are in!

And just as quick as they got here, they will be gone again. Hopefully by Saturday, as they really should have gone out two or three weeks ago... Oops! They were so easy to design and with all the coupons the site offers, not too expensive either! I found them here, thanks to the help of a friend!

Everything is coming together pretty easily and quickly, with only flowers and invitations left to nail down... well, the big things anyway.

The final stretch

With only two weeks of classes left, panic is starting to set in.

2 weeks, 5 papers, 2 tests, and what feels like madness.

This is my life right now.

But on May 13th, I'll be wearing this and not thinking about school for a long while.

Reception Venue? Check!

The Hotel Andaluz will be hosting our dessert reception after the wedding ceremony. Can't wait!

This is the room we'll be using (I couldn't find a better picture) and it has a great terrace outside those doors in the back. So glad to have this part finalized!

Also, today is engagement photo day! A good friend, Knate Myers photography, will be doing our photos. He does some amazing work!

A Few Wedding Things

That's right, a wedding post. Shocking I know, but what can I say? I love sharing all these details and such!

I got a dress! I couldn't believe that the first place we went had exactly what I was looking for and for 50% off! What a steal... and huge encouragement to have things coming together so smoothly. On top of that, my sweet bridesmaids and I picked out their dresses so now we have the color scheme set too!

It seems to me (and according to my little wedding planning book/organizer) that I'm going a little out of order on the wedding planning checklist. After we set the date the next thing we lined up was the cake! I guess our priorities are a little too obvious. A very generous friend of my family offered to make our wedding cake as a gift, which I'm very excited about. She sent me on my way to think of what I want it to look like with 8, yes 8, cake catalogues and books. Hilarious.

We have our honeymoon booked (thanks to my future in-laws, we are going to Jamaica!), are pretty much all registered for gifts and booked the DJ yesterday. Hopefully, the tomorrow will be booking the reception venue and finishing up this pesky school work that doesn't seem to understand I'm busy planning a wedding and would like it to finish up on it's own :)

Once school is out, I'm sure I'll be posting all the little DIY projects I've got planned to cut some costs!
