Hidden Restaurant Adventures

But really. It's actually hidden.
My roomie had heard a thing or two about this steakhouse restaurant that is literally hidden away. There is no sign outside and you have to have a password to get through the door for you reservation. Hilarious.
So of course, we needed to give it a go. And we also needed to drag along another good friend to enjoy it with us. We made our reservations online and they called the day of to give us the password and directions.
It. Was. Awesome.
We went on one of the nights that they have live Jazz music, and that certainly added to the merriment. Completely had the exclusive, "speakeasy" vibe that we were promised.
Even though it was a pretty pricey excursion, we were so glad we did it. Seriously worth it for a fun night and something different from the usual!

snow snow snow

Since it looks like this outside... but with more snow than can be seen here

And since it looks like I've made about 18 of these little, strawberry beauties

I'm praying that the snow keeps up at least through tomorrow night, and maybe, just maybe, school will be cancelled on Thursday as well. Then I can grab my blue blanket and a book and settle in with a cup of coffee and a muffin (yes, from my new muffin recipe book), pretending that I'm already completely done with school... forever! :)

Oh yes... This is marvelous.

I plan to make every single kind of muffin in here...even the gross-sounding ones. I'm not much for New Year's resolutions, but I'll go ahead and call dibs on that one. Truly an inspiring resolution, I know.

Did I mention I also got a cupcake kit? Well, I did (thanks to a giftcard I didn't know what to do with). Let the baking begin!
